Why we exist
Finding a reliable contractor in Chicago is genuinely hard. Homeowners spend hours comparing reviews, chasing quotes, and wondering if the person showing up actually knows what they're doing. We built Bungalow Crew to fix that — one call, one trusted network, the right pro for the job.
What we do vs. what our network does
We do: Answer your call, understand your job, match you with the right contractor, and follow up after.
Our contractors do: Provide estimates, sign contracts with you, perform the work, and bill you directly. They operate their own independent businesses.
How we vet our network
Every contractor in the Bungalow Crew network:
- Holds the appropriate Illinois or Chicago license for their trade
- Carries active general liability insurance (minimum $300,000 per occurrence, per Chicago code)
- Has demonstrable experience on Chicago-area homes, especially bungalows and pre-war houses
- Maintains a clean complaint record with BACP, IDFPR, or the relevant licensing body
- Provides written estimates as required by the Illinois Home Repair and Remodeling Act
